The National Extension Climate Initiative, part of the nationwide Cooperative Extension System, was created to coordinate and manage climate outreach activities among extension associates around the nation.
The organization is hosting a webinar next month on aging and climate change featuring ACCC Director Karl Pillemer, Danielle Arigoni from the National Housing Trust, and Leslie Wharton of Elders Climate Action.
This session will explore the role of adaptive strategies to protect vulnerable older individuals, as well as opportunities for productive engagement of older people in civic engagement and volunteerism around climate change.
